About The Position

WHAT YOU’LL DO The Vice President, Product Marketing will define and drive the strategic narrative and go-to-market engine for Viant’s industry-leading portfolio of products and programs. This leadership role sits at the intersection of Product, Sales, Operations, and Executive Leadership - translating innovation into market momentum and revenue growth. This leader will own positioning and differentiation in a highly competitive AdTech landscape, ensuring Viant’s value is clear, defensible, and impossible to ignore. They will build and scale a world-class product marketing function that delivers sharp messaging, innovative go-to-market tools, and best-in-class sales enablement that accelerates pipeline and closes deals. The ideal candidate is a proven people leader with deep expertise in AdTech, software and/or technology anchored by a strong technical fluency, and a track record of launching and scaling products in complex, fast-moving markets. They bring executive presence, analytical rigor, and the ability to build trusted partnerships across the organization. Most importantly, they know how to turn product strength into category leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of Product Marketing experience, including significant team leadership
  • Strong GTM expertise with a history of successful product launches and revenue impact
  • Deep knowledge of AdTech, programmatic advertising, and digital media ecosystems (strongly preferred)
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to engage credibly with Product and Engineering teams
  • Proven ability to build executive-level relationships and influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing Product Marketing team, establishing clear priorities, operating rhythms, and measurable impact
  • Lead end-to-end go-to-market strategy for new products, platform enhancements, and strategic initiatives; from market validation through launch and post-launch optimization
  • Develop clear, differentiated positioning and messaging frameworks that resonate with enterprise buyers in a competitive programmatic landscape
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to translate complex technical capabilities into compelling customer value propositions and influence roadmap prioritization based on market opportunity
  • Partner with Sales Operations to drive comprehensive sales enablement, including training, playbooks, pitch materials, competitive intelligence, and executive-level storytelling
  • Conduct ongoing market, customer, and competitive analysis to inform strategy, pricing, packaging, and segmentation
  • Collaborate with revenue leadership to align GTM initiatives with pipeline goals, vertical strategies, and key account growth plans
  • Serve as a senior market-facing leader, supporting enterprise deals, industry events, analyst engagement, and strategic client conversations
  • Establish and track KPIs to measure launch effectiveness, messaging adoption, and overall product marketing impact on revenue
