About The Position

We are seeking a VP of Product Management to join our Operations team at Bridgewater Bank in St. Louis Park. Reporting to the SVP of Enterprise Operations, in this role, you will be responsible for the strategic direction of the Bank’s product offerings and accountable for the Bank’s portfolio of client-facing products. This role leads the Product Management function and is responsible for the formulation of the department’s vision, ensuring alignment within the team and with the Bank’s strategic objectives. As a leader you will have strong knowledge in Deposit and Treasury Management products and services, maintain awareness of market trends, product industry, and competitive strategies from which recommendations on product investment, enhancements, pricing, and positioning can be generated. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 7-10 years’ experience in product management
  • 3-5 years’ experience in banking or financial services
  • Strong knowledge in Deposit (checking, savings, money market), Online Banking and Treasury Management products and services
  • Proven track record of product planning, defining, and launching successful products
  • Track record of establishing & maintaining productive third-party vendor relationships and working with SaaS products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to lead, coach and guide their team of product managers and product support staff, while influencing and inspiring the direction of the product line.
  • Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to understand diverse and complex information and data and design refined strategies, solutions, workflows, and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Build the product management department’s vision, strategic direction and compile the product planning processes and materials necessary for driving product initiatives further with clarity and consensus
  • Mentor, coach and provide development opportunities to Product Managers, Product Implementations, Product Operations and other team members reporting into the Product Management function
  • Collaborate with functional leaders across the business to facilitate feedback loops around product requirements and business needs. This collaboration will lead to clear and efficient product road-mapping, product planning, prioritization, and an overall effective product development process.
  • Develop, define, manage, and oversee the product roadmaps as required to meet business needs. In this capacity, the VP will also incorporate the existing development backlog and use it to prioritize the needs as determined by the business, clients, and market needs.
  • Engages with clients to gain firsthand insight on the clients’ and market feedback on the products offered.
  • Works closely with the marketing department to develop marketing strategies, lead generation strategies, and sales strategies. The VP also partners with the business lines to understand product engagement, product gaps, implementation/workflow inefficiencies and support strategies.
  • Conducts relevant product research, establishing competitive intelligence and various market analyses that supplements and compliments analyses already conducted by product managers.
  • Synthesize client and market research that aids the business in understanding current and future product needs.
