The Product Manager is responsible for identifying investment cases, leading the investment planning for their area of responsibility as per current planning cadence, creating and maintaining product roadmaps, strategy and vision statements in line with IFS’ overall vision and strategy, as per the 7-Stage Development Process. A Product Manager has a deep understanding of our targeted industries and the market in general, and a good understanding of our customers’ challenges, needs, and the opportunities that lies herein. The Product Manager collects and categorizes market requirements, does competitive- and market analysis and collaborates with Internal and External Stakeholders. They turn market requirements into investment proposals that balance effort with value and identify the best possible investment cases to propose as enhancements to our product offering. A Product Manager is an evangelist who interacts with and inspires employees and senior management, customers, partners, journalists, and analysts. He or she is a proficient presenter with experience of addressing large and diverse audiences. Providing thought leadership and evangelizing product vision, strategies, roadmap and value proposition internally and externally is an integral part of the job. A Product Manager is recognized as an expert in the business domain that their products serve and provide valued guidance in their domain of expertise. He or she continuously works to expand domain knowledge, proactively shares knowledge and experience, and guides others. Interacting and collaborating effectively across all parts of R&D and the wider organization is a must to succeed!
