About The Position

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, the Vice President of AI will be responsible for shaping and driving the AI strategy that will define the next phase of growth for our company. You’ll play a key role in crafting AI-driven solutions alongside key partners, expanding our product offerings, and creating innovative ways to deliver value to our customers. This position is ideal for an experienced AI leader with a deep understanding of product development, a customer-first mindset, and strong ties to the AI and tech communities.

Requirements

• Proven track record in AI, product leadership, and strategic growth, preferably in a fast-growing tech or database company.
• Strong product acumen with experience in developing AI-driven products and services that have delivered clear, measurable results for customers.
• Deep understanding of the AI ecosystem, including machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and data analytics. Strong technical background with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams.
• Highly customer-centric mindset with a passion for solving real-world problems using AI and technology.
• Well-connected in the AI community with a strong network of industry leaders, researchers, and key influencers.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with a history of driving cross-functional collaboration at scale.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a clear, actionable AI strategy that aligns with the company’s overall growth objectives, ensuring AI is deeply integrated into both product and customer experience.
• Develop AI-powered products and features that directly address customer pain points and drive business outcomes. Work cross-functionally to ensure customer success.
• Become a visible leader in both the AI and database communities, representing EDB at conferences, events, and in media. Share insights, trends, and best practices to continue to build the company’s reputation as a Data and AI innovator.
• Partner with engineering, product marketing, customer success and sales teams to bring AI-driven products to market. Inspire, mentor, and grow a high-performing team, fostering a culture of creativity and data-driven decision making.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the Postgres OSS Community & AI industry, including researchers, analysts, thought leaders, and technology partners, to keep EDB at the forefront of AI advancements.
