About The Position

As the VP of Product Design, you will lead the design team at Clio to solve our most pressing product challenge: creating a unified, 'all-in-one' experience across our expanding portfolio of products. This is not a 'clean hands' role; it requires a leader who is ready to dig into a complex and challenging product landscape. Your success will be measured by your ability to improve our multi-product experience and, in turn, our NPS. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team. We need a high-energy, deeply engaged leader who will immerse themselves in our products and our customers' worlds. We are looking for a pragmatic problem-solver who sees design as a critical tool to make our products work better for the people who use them every day.

Requirements

• Experience in product design leadership at a high-tech or SaaS software company.
• Strong portfolio showcasing successful product launches and multi-product experience.
• Ability to think and operate at a strategic level while driving execution on a tactical level.
• Proven success unifying disparate product experiences into a single, cohesive user journey.
• Experience developing and scaling a comprehensive design system across a multi-product SaaS portfolio.
• Highly analytical with the ability to derive insights through design dashboards.
• Ability to influence, partner, and communicate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and GTM business teams.
• Proven ability to assess, mentor, and elevate an existing design organization.

• Ensure designers are actively talking to customers.
• Revolutionize the relationship between design and engineering.
• Lead the charge in breaking down silos and ensuring design is a proactive, collaborative partner.
• Develop and execute a design strategy that addresses the challenge of creating a unified experience across multiple products.
• Lead and mentor an existing team of 40+ designers and managers.
• Assess the current team and empower them to deliver excellence.
• Dive deep into our products and understand the intricacies of our offerings.
