About The Position

This role can be based in our Boulder or New York office Team Description Portfolio Marketing teams are responsible for driving revenue through customer engagement, brand growth, and sustained commercial impact within a defined industry portfolio. Operating within a matrix structure, these teams collaborate with Group Marketing, Centers of Excellence, Sales, and other divisional marketing teams and portfolio functions to ensure alignment with global strategies and leverage shared expertise and platforms. Reporting Line Dual Reporting – directly to the Commercial Leader for the Portfolio & dotted line to the Group CMO, with strong collaboration with Marketing COE leadership. Role Description The VP Portfolio Marketing-Manufacturing will also play a key role in the delivery of ‘One Informa’ to the Informa Markets division and Manufacturing portfolio. One Informa is our 3-year transformation program that will deliver and market-leading marketing and an enhanced customer experience, simplify Informa’s operating model, reduce complexity, unify technology platforms, capitalize on our data capabilities and align all businesses more closely to Informa's brand and growth priorities. The Vice President Marketing-Manufacturing, leads strategic marketing initiatives across their portfolio, to deliver revenue growth and ensure alignment with global branding strategy and divisional objectives. They will need to deliver significant marketing transformation and innovation in partnership with the Global Marketing team. This role is accountable for developing and executing high-impact marketing initiatives that drive revenues and meet portfolio KPIs by identifying how to engage and grow customer segments, ensuring the marketing team uses best practice tools and capabilities, that deliver measurable commercial outcomes. The VP will champion innovation, embed leading practices, and promote continuous improvement within the portfolio. They will lead portfolio marketing teams responsible for core marketing capabilities spanning strategy, planning, client, attendee, content, and audience marketing. The role must both oversee delivery and transformation of these capabilities, ensuring an uplift in capability, innovation, and alignment with Informa’s Marketing Operating Model and Group priorities. As a key member of the Portfolio Leadership Team, the VP partners with the Commercial Portfolio Leaders, and the Group CMO and CoEs to ensure that marketing drives measurable growth, competitive advantage, and customer value. They will collaborate closely with senior Marketers from across the division and Group to ensure best practices and learnings are applied to deliver best in class marketing across Informa.

Requirements

  • Expertise in agency and supplier performance management
  • Proven ability to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies across multiple channels.
  • Strong digital and data-driven marketing expertise, including campaign optimization and ROI measurement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead transformation and adopt new technologies and practices.
  • Highly numerate with strong commercial acumen with experience developing business cases, managing budgets and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborative and influential, skilled at building trust and alignment across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Vision
  • Define and execute a transformation-driven divisional marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with global objectives and local market requirements.
  • Ensure strategic alignment with wider organisational objectives and interlocks with leadership peers.
  • Take ownership of specialisation in the portfolio’s industry and its dynamics within the relevant geography.
  • Ensure the Marketing team are focused on marketing and customer insights and the changing needs of their audiences to deliver new product propositions, positioning and go to market strategies.
  • Champion innovation within the portfolio, driving continuous improvement and thought leadership, particularly in the use of AI and agile marketing practices.
  • Operational Excellence
  • Lead marketing initiatives leveraging all relevant channels to achieve outlined objectives.
  • Optimise the portfolio marketing approach in line with defined strategies and global branding standards.
  • Ensure marketing investments deliver measurable ROI and support commercial growth, and that the marketers take fast action to correct where necessary
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build, lead and mentor a high performing portfolio marketing team, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Build relationships with leaders across the business to demonstrate the power of marketing at Informa.
  • Ensure sufficient capabilities within the team to deliver on strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with other portfolio teams to share leading practices and engage with CoEs to leverage their expertise.
  • Partner with Portfolio EVP / MD and commercial and sales teams to integrate marketing into business planning and execution and to ensure that Marketing is focused on delivering commercial and sales objectives.
  • Insights & Value Delivery
  • Lead the development and monitoring of marketing performance metrics across the portfolio in partnership with the Group Marketing Performance CoE and Commercial Data.
  • Bring customer and industry insights and experience to build a leading practice marketing organisation.
  • Take a data-driven approach to continuously monitor marketing performance to inform wider strategy.
  • Shift the view of the value of marketing by measuring and communicating impact on commercial performance.
