About The Position

Directs the division's operations function and leads construction programs in accordance with organizational policy and strategy. Oversees daily functions or processes necessary for business execution and identifies opportunities for improvement or efficiencies. Responsible for construction scheduling, construction quality control, budgeting, and depending on division structure may also oversee one or more of the following departments in addition to construction: purchasing, product and design, land development, design center, and customer care. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5 - 10 years' experience in homebuilding industry, including management experience
  • Experience in Construction, Purchasing and Estimating and Customer Service in homebuilding industry required

Responsibilities

  • Provide a work environment that prioritizes the health and safety of our employees and trade partners
  • Cultivate an environment that reflects Beazer Culture
  • Oversee and manage vertical construction operations and at least one other major department
  • Anticipate possible obstacles and propose favorable solutions
  • Achieve company benchmarks including cycle time, HERS scores, ACH, and customer surveys
  • Develop and implement process improvements
  • Interviewing, selecting training, developing, and disciplining employees
  • Ensure the division is in compliance with all policies of the Company as well as local municipalities
  • Set clear goals and expectations and create a culture of accountability
  • Ensure the division's organization structure is appropriate to support current and future operations
  • Establish a business plan and pricing strategies in conjunction with Division President
  • Manage operating budgets for profits and losses
  • Seek and partner with reliable trades
  • Conduct site visits weekly, including safety and quality walks
