About The Position

The VP of Revenue Cycle at Gentiva is responsible for leading and planning the authorization and billing operations for the revenue cycle process within the Hospice division. This role focuses on maximizing the effectiveness and efficiency of billing and collection processes across multiple markets and payors, ensuring compliance with third-party contract terms, and overseeing the management of the division's revenue cycle operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Master's degree in accounting, finance, business management or healthcare administration preferred.
• Ten years of medical reimbursement experience with progressive supervisory management in a healthcare environment.
• Well-versed with federal, state, and HIPAA privacy regulations.
• Thorough knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding protocols and procedures.
• Proven ability to perform strategic planning and priority setting for a billing department of 150-200 associates.

Nice To Haves

• Experience or degrees in Information Systems, Computer Sciences, or related discipline beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures to maximize billing and collection processes.
• Oversee and manage the division's revenue cycle, including authorizations, billing, and collections.
• Direct billing management and staff to ensure accurate submission of claims and timely collections.
• Maximize cash collections through diligent monitoring of open accounts receivable balances.
