Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in HR, business, organizational development, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive HR/People leadership experience, including senior or executive roles.
  • Experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or multi-department environments preferred.
  • Strong background in employee relations, culture building, and organizational development.
  • Strategic thinker with strong operational discipline.
  • Exceptional communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
  • Deep knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and workforce development.
  • Ability to manage complex, people-centric environments with empathy and accountability.
  • Resident-centered mindset with a commitment to service excellence.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in HR, business, organizational development, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or multi-department environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive People & Culture strategy aligned with organizational goals and the long-term master plan.
  • Serve as the CEO’s principal advisor on workforce trends, culture, talent, and organizational health.
  • Lead initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, retention, and leadership development.
  • Partner with the VP team to ensure people strategy is integrated into all major initiatives and operational decisions.
  • Provide executive leadership for all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and benefits.
  • Ensure HR policies, practices, and systems support a fair, consistent, and high performing workplace.
  • Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain strong internal controls, documentation, and HR reporting.
  • Champion a culture of service, hospitality, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Lead employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and culture building efforts.
  • Oversee internal communication strategies that promote clarity, transparency, and alignment.
  • Build strong relationships with employees at all levels, ensuring approachability and trust.
  • Oversee training and development programs, including new hire orientation, supervisor training, and leadership development.
  • Create career pathways and succession planning strategies to build internal bench strength.
  • Ensure compliance training is effective, accessible, and engaging.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Lead recruitment strategies to attract top talent across clinical, hospitality, facilities, and administrative roles.
  • Oversee workforce planning, staffing models, and retention strategies.
  • Strengthen employer branding and community partnerships to support recruitment pipelines.
  • Support organizational design, change management, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with leaders to strengthen team dynamics, communication, and accountability.
  • Use data and analytics to inform decision making and measure organizational health.
  • Maintain strong boundaries, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, follow-through, and organizational skills.
