About The Position

Clever is seeking a Vice President of Marketing to grow our global network, business, and brand. In this role, you'll develop the game plan to win hearts, minds, and market share in the K12 education community, furthering our mission to connect every student to a world of learning. You'll lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team with responsibility for all aspects of marketing - brand, communications, growth, and product marketing. This position requires a seasoned marketing leader with a deep understanding of education technology; the role reports to the Chief Revenue Officer.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of marketing experience with a history of success building, launching and scaling SaaS products and businesses.
  • Experience marketing to education or B2B customers outside the U.S.
  • 7+ years of overall management experience managing a multi-function marketing team.
  • Strong coaching and career development skills, including experience leading and developing other managers and leaders.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with and influence cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • A strong understanding of education technology and market dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the vision, strategy, and team to fuel Clever's growth as a widely adopted and loved global brand in education.
  • Drive go-to-market and competitive strategy based on customer and market insights, inspiring our team to conceive and tackle big ideas.
  • As a strong storyteller, develop narratives that resonate with internal and external audiences.
  • Drive commercial success and delight customers by working collaboratively with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams.
  • As a thought leader and strategic thinker, understand customer problems, build compelling value propositions for our platform, and design a customer journey to grow and retain revenue.
  • Maintain a rigorous operating rhythm and standard of excellence; take a metrics-driven approach, adjust strategies based on what's working and not working, and focus investments for the greatest impact.
  • Inspire, coach, and develop our high-performing marketing team and create an environment encouraging personal growth and operational excellence.
