VP of Enterprise AI Acceleration (Anthropic | Claude API)

BIP VenturesAtlanta, GA

About The Position

This is a high-impact role for someone who sits at the intersection of enterprise AI, change management, and technical execution. You will help build BIP Capital's internal AI transformation from the ground up, including the strategy refinement, earning the trust of every functional team, identifying workflow opportunities, deploying AI agents, and fundamentally reshaping how our people work. This is not a traditional IT or data role. It is not a pure engineering role. It is not a training and development role. It is all three, and the rare individual who thrives here will be equally energized by a whiteboard conversation with a Managing Director and a late-night debugging session on an agent workflow. Once the internal playbook is proven, you will extend this work to BIP's portfolio companies, making this role a platform for outsized, lasting impact across the firm's broader ecosystem. Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid; expected regular in-office collaboration with leadership and functional teams)

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience building and deploying AI agents independently — you have shipped production-grade automations, not just prototypes.
  • Proficiency with the Anthropic/Claude API and the broader ecosystem of AI tooling (LLMs, orchestration frameworks, workflow automation platforms).
  • Exceptional communication skills — you can explain a multi-step agent architecture to an engineer and the same concept to a non-technical executive in the same afternoon.
  • Strong project and product management instincts — you know how to scope, prioritize, track, and communicate progress on complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
  • A genuine bias for action. You are the person who builds the thing, not just describes the thing.
  • Anthropic Claude API / LLM API integration (required)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience spanning business operations and enterprise-grade software development deployments - experience with enterprise technology transformation is a plus.
  • You have built things from scratch in ambiguous environments and thrived. You do not need a detailed playbook handed to you.
  • You are energized by people, not just technology — the measure of this role is how many people you bring along, not just how many automations you ship.
  • You hold yourself and others to a high standard and naturally gravitate toward structured, well-documented work.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in or closely with investment management, financial services, or professional services firms is a plus.
  • Workflow automation platforms (e.g., Make, Zapier, n8n)
  • Proficiency with Python, Javascript, or similar software development languages. Prompt engineering and agentic architecture design
  • Experience using agentic programing tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude Code) to build and maintain enterprise-grade applications
  • Familiarity with RAG systems, tool use, memory management, and multi-agent patterns
  • Comfort working with APIs, webhooks, and modern data pipelines
  • Custom MCP server development and tool-building to help augment agent capabilities
  • Experience with enterprise tool integration for helping integrate our systems of record into our LLM usage using things like Claude connectors
  • AI Governance and Data Security to ensure proprietary data and PII are meeting regulatory requirements and mitigating risks from things like prompt injections
  • Identity Management to ensure that agents are having the correct level of permissions scoped to them
  • CI/CD skills to make sure things like prompts and agent configurations are stored in an accessible and version-controlled manner
  • Token Optimization Best Practices for teaching the team to maximize their usage limits (we could all get better here)
  • Context Window Management for processing large amounts of data such as big legal documents

Responsibilities

  • Help drive and design BIP Capital's AI-first transformation strategy, with a clear roadmap, milestones, and success metrics.
  • Partner with every functional lead to understand their workflows, identify automation opportunities, and prioritize implementations by impact.
  • Serve as the internal champion for AI adoption — making the case, removing friction, and building genuine buy-in at every level of the organization.
  • Set up reporting and dashboards that communicate transformation progress to leadership in a clear, honest, and actionable way.
  • Develop and deliver AI training programs tailored to different roles and skill levels across the firm.
  • Create learning materials that teach employees not just how to use AI tools, but how to fundamentally re-center their work around AI — changing how they think, not just what they click.
  • Build a culture of continuous experimentation and learning, where every team member is equipped and motivated to discover new ways AI can improve their output.
  • Independently scope, build, and deploy AI agents and workflow automations across business functions using the Anthropic/Claude API and complementary tools.
  • Identify the highest-leverage repeatable workflows and architect automation solutions that are reliable, explainable, and maintainable.
  • Work closely with BIP's internal tech team to ensure agent infrastructure is scalable and that the most impactful automations are eventually supported within the firm's proprietary technology platform.
  • Maintain a structured workflow library and governance framework so automations are documented, auditable, and improvable over time.
  • Provide data research support to investment and operational teams as needed, leveraging AI tooling to accelerate the quality and speed of research outputs.
  • Identify opportunities to embed AI-assisted research capabilities into recurring team workflows, reducing manual effort and improving analytical depth.
  • Ability to identify, develop, maintain, and evolve large, complex data structures that incorporate proprietary data and 3rd party data sources. Familiarity with data protection and governance practices is a must.
  • Once internal transformation patterns are validated, partner with portfolio company leadership teams to extend the AI transformation playbook externally.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and hands-on partner for portfolio companies pursuing their own AI-first transitions.
  • Start as a high-impact individual contributor, then build and lead a small team as the scope of this work expands.
  • Define the team structure needed to scale impact — and recruit accordingly.
