About The Position

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial VP of Engineering Staffing to lead and grow our engineering staffing practice. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, building scalable delivery operations, and managing a high-performing team supporting contract, contract-to-hire, and permanent engineering placements. The VP of Engineering Staffing will operate as the senior day-to-day leader of the engineering staffing business, partnering closely with executive leadership, sales, and recruiting to expand market presence, deliver exceptional client outcomes, and build a sustainable growth engine.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in engineering or technical staffing, with 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Proven success managing and growing a staffing practice or business unit
  • Strong understanding of engineering talent markets (software, infrastructure, product, manufacturing, or related disciplines)
  • Experience leading recruiting and delivery teams in a KPI-driven environment
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with sales on complex or high-value client needs
  • Strong communication, leadership, and client management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Responsibilities

  • Own the overall performance of the Engineering Staffing practice, including revenue, delivery, and team effectiveness
  • Drive growth through close partnership with business development and sales leadership on key accounts and opportunities
  • Support client-facing strategy by participating in discovery, solution design, pricing, and staffing recommendations
  • Lead and mentor recruiting and account teams to ensure consistent delivery quality and candidate control
  • Establish and monitor KPIs related to pipeline health, fill ratios, client satisfaction, and recruiter productivity
  • Oversee client relationships as an escalation point and ensure successful execution across engagements
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts through multi-role, multi-team, or long-term staffing solutions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, and HR to support operational efficiency and scale
  • Stay current on engineering hiring trends, talent availability, and client demand to guide staffing strategy
