The Vice President of Data and AI is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution of data and artificial intelligence initiatives across the organization. This individual will lead the development and implementation of data-driven solutions, AI models, and advanced analytics to support business objectives, enhance decision-making, and deliver innovative products and services. The VP of Data and AI will oversee cross-functional teams, foster a culture of data excellence, and ensure the organization leverages cutting-edge technologies to maintain a competitive edge in the market.

  • Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for data and AI initiatives, aligning them with business goals.
  • Champion data and AI as strategic assets to drive innovation, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with C-suite and senior leaders to identify opportunities for solving complex business problems.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent in data science, machine learning, and analytics.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Provide mentorship and ensure team members have the skills and resources to succeed.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of AI models and data-driven solutions.
  • Integrate AI and data capabilities into products and platforms.
  • Promote best practices in data governance, quality, and security.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to identify opportunities for enhancing products and customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure scalable and secure data platforms.
  • Work with stakeholders across sales, marketing, finance, and operations to deliver actionable insights and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of data and AI initiatives.
  • Continuously optimize models for accuracy, scalability, and business impact.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced degrees (Master's or Ph.D.) preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in data science, AI, or related fields, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling data and AI teams and delivering impactful data-driven solutions.
  • Experience with advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI technologies, including Python, R, TensorFlow, or PyTorch tools.
  • Experience in managing data platforms, reusable data products, DataOps, MLOps, model training, and reinforcement learning capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, governance, and integration concepts.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Databricks, MS Fabric) is a plus.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working with SQL, data visualization tools, and other analytics platforms to derive insights and make data-driven decisions.
