About The Position

Overwatch is a service-disabled Veteran-owned small business (SDVOB) certified through the National Veterans Business Development Council (NVBDC), offering construction professional services, talent acquisition, and general contractor support for the mission-critical infrastructure industry. Their mission is the construction and management of state-of-the-art data centers with the precision and reliability this industry demands, deploying high-end engineers and seasoned professionals. Overwatch is seeking a VP of Business Platforms & Intelligence to oversee how the business operates through systems, workflows, and data. This role is responsible for maximizing the value of core platforms, ensuring they are configured, integrated, and leveraged to drive efficiency, visibility, and scale. Over time, this role will also own the AI intelligence platform and its integration into business operations. This is a builder role, requiring the ability to take loosely defined business challenges, bring structure, and translate them into scalable system and workflow solutions that drive measurable impact, rather than just managing existing systems.

Requirements

12+ years of experience across platforms, systems, or operations
Deep experience with enterprise systems (Salesforce, NetSuite, HRIS, etc.)
Strong understanding of end-to-end business workflows
Experience driving system optimization and platform transformation
Creative problem solver with the ability to take ambiguous business challenges, bring structure, and drive scalable solutions
Strong operator with a bias toward action
Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills

Experience with data, reporting, or AI-enabled systems preferred

Responsibilities

Lead strategy and optimization for Salesforce, NetSuite, Rippling, and other key systems
Ensure platforms are aligned to support end-to-end business workflows
Continuously improve system utilization and effectiveness
Design and implement scalable workflows across functions
Identify and eliminate manual processes through automation
Align systems to support how the business operates and scales
Connect platform decisions directly to business outcomes, including efficiency, speed, and margin
Own data structure, reporting, and visibility across platforms
Ensure leadership has access to accurate, timely, and actionable insights
Partner with teams to define key metrics and dashboards
Take ownership of the AI intelligence platform after launch
Embed AI capabilities into workflows across the organization
Identify new use cases and opportunities to drive efficiency and impact
Work closely with functional leaders to identify opportunities to improve how the business runs
Translate business needs into scalable system capabilities and solutions
Act as a key partner in driving scale without increasing headcount
