Requirements

  • Post-Acquisition Integration Leadership: Urgent need for an accounting leader who can own the post-close integration playbook development and execution. With multiple acquisitions and their respective accounting integrations, this role demands someone who can bring order and structure fast.
  • Construction & Rev Rec Expertise: Hands-on experience with construction accounting, percentage of completion (POC) revenue recognition, and WIP accounting is critical. This niche infrastructure services space requires a leader who can hit the ground running without a steep learning curve on these complex rev rec issues.
  • Multi-Location & PE-Backed Experience: They need someone who understands the challenges of multi-location operations and the private equity mindset—standardizing processes, controls, and managing the close across diverse regional teams is key.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead the accounting infrastructure: Design and standardize accounting processes across multiple sites to support rapid growth and acquisitions, including setting up shared service hubs for AP, AR, Payroll, & more.
  • Oversee multi-location accounting operations: Manage and mentor 3-4 regional controllers to ensure accurate month-end close, rev rec compliance using the POC method, WIP, and cost accounting in line with industry standards.
  • Drive post-acquisition integration: Create and execute a playbook for smooth accounting integration of acquired entities, maintaining consistent controls and financial reporting across the platform.
  • Partner with executive leadership and PE sponsors: Collaborate with CFO and CEO on lender and sponsor reporting, cash flow planning, and financial strategy to scale revenue from $270M to $500M.
  • Lead through influence and culture: Navigate ambiguity and diverse regional teams with strong EQ, promoting collaboration and accountability without relying on directive management.
