About The Position

KMM Telecommunications is looking for a sales and business development leader in Logistics Operations. The preferred candidate will have experience building relationships and selling services within the telecommunications industry. The candidate must be a motivated and driven sales executive with a history of generating and closing deals in either the telecommunications industry, logistics services, or both. The candidate must have contacts and relationships in logistics or telecommunications industries that cultivate new business opportunities. This position is a remote position, will report to the President, and will work closely with the Vice President of Logistics Operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of ten (10) years in business development and sales pipeline management in either telecommunications industry or logistics services
  • Strong understanding of logistics services and/or the telecommunications industry, including IP and optical systems
  • Proven sales success in the telecommunications industry, with contacts in leadership roles within major service providers
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to develop and present sales materials to senior executives
  • Effective written communication skills to develop compelling proposals and respond appropriately to RFPs
  • Able to successfully complete a background and substance abuse check

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree (in business or related discipline, or other equivalent industry work experience preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Grow our Logistics Operations services by broadening our range of logistics offerings, or expanding in more depth within the existing telecommunications space.
  • Generate, develop, and manage relationships with key customer executives and decision makers to enable KMM to win future work opportunities, and promote our services
  • Work collaboratively with the Logistics Operations delivery team to ensure customer satisfaction with existing work performance
  • Qualify new opportunities, respond to RFPs/RFIs, and present KMM solutions to potential customers
  • Develop business cases/proformas for new opportunities and establish pricing models to fit market needs and optimize business case profitability
  • Develop marketing strategies and work with teams to create marketing materials
  • Identify new market opportunities and provide supporting business analysis for KMM to expand service offerings or industries
  • Identify partnering opportunities with other service providers with complementary products and services, while effectively managing these relationships
