Job OverviewWe're looking for a strategic and results-driven leader to oversee merchandise planning and inventory management for our Ready-to-Wear category. As the Vice President, you'll shape the strategy, drive execution, and optimize inventory to ensure we meet financial goals while delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role is all about collaboration, working closely with teams across Merchandising, Marketing, and Supply Chain to keep us ahead of the curve in a fast-paced retail landscape.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in forecasting, financial modeling, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to align merchandise planning strategies with corporate objectives and work closely with senior leadership.
  • Experience leading and driving cross-functional projects.
  • Experience with merchandise planning systems, software, and business intelligence tools.
  • A strategic, innovative mindset—someone who can turn data into actionable insights.
  • Effective leadership skills, driving results with minimal direction, and managing teams to execute innovative strategies.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate, negotiate, and influence others, fostering strong relationships and partnerships.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business, merchandising, or a related field.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 15 years of experience in merchandise planning, inventory management, or related roles—at least 10 years in leadership.
  • Experience in ready-to-wear is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute merchandise planning and inventory management strategies to achieve sales, margin, and inventory turn goals.
  • Partner with key leaders across the business to align financial planning and inventory strategies with company objectives.
  • Stay on top of industry trends, forecasting best practices, and inventory optimization strategies to keep us competitive.
  • Lead the development of financial plans and seasonal buying strategies to meet market demand.
  • Ensure accurate sales and inventory forecasts to support replenishment, markdowns, and localized assortments.
  • Oversee replenishment processes to ensure the right products are available while keeping excess inventory in check.
  • Maintain a healthy inventory by implementing smart demand planning and balancing stock across different channels and regions.
  • Work with Supply Chain and Logistics teams to improve inventory flow, reduce lead times, and enhance efficiency.
  • Manage open-to-buy (OTB) budgets to ensure we're meeting seasonal and annual targets.
  • Lead key business reviews, sharing insights and recommendations with senior leadership.
  • Analyze performance metrics (sales, margin, inventory turns) and adjust strategies as needed to stay on track.
  • Build and mentor a team of planners, analysts, and inventory managers to drive success.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-accountability culture that values innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Support team members' professional growth through coaching and development opportunities.
