About The Position

The position involves leading an organization with ethical methods and actions, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies. Responsibilities include creating new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve service efficiency, managing citywide menu creation and pricing strategies, and developing marketing guides to enhance EBITA opportunities. The position also involves contributing to the hiring of management personnel, supporting culinary contract negotiations, and supervising day-to-day operations through assigned leaders. The role emphasizes customer service standards, revenue maximization, and maintaining high standards for convention spaces. Additionally, the position requires handling group bookings, customer complaints, and tracking group sales effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications.
  • 5-10 years of experience in marketing/sales.
  • Proven leadership experience in dynamic environments.
  • Strong verbal, written, and negotiation skills.
  • Accessible and approachable personal style.
  • Motivating public speaker for internal and external audiences.
  • Team player with excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to multi-task on large and complex programs.
  • Proven sales/marketing track record with measurable results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead an organization with ethical methods and actions in compliance with laws and company policies.
  • Identify compliance risks and take actions to eliminate or minimize them.
  • Create a compliance culture and foster an environment for reporting violations.
  • Create new SOPs for improved service and operating efficiencies.
  • Manage citywide menu creation and competitive pricing strategy.
  • Develop custom marketing guides for EBITA opportunities.
  • Contribute to citywide screening and hiring of management personnel.
  • Support the VP with culinary contract negotiations.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations through assigned leaders and directors.
  • Champion customer service standards and operational excellence.
  • Work closely with HR on culinary union contracts and negotiations.
  • Maximize revenues and profits for food & beverage, hotel, and meeting space.
  • Create annual sales plan, budget, and goals.
  • Ensure Property Leaders maintain high standards for convention spaces.
  • Meet with Las Vegas Meetings Leaders to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor competitors' Group Sales programs and recommend changes.
  • Maintain communication with Group guests to ensure satisfaction.
  • Manage convention group bookings exceeding 240 million dollars in banquets.
  • Handle group customer complaints and follow up appropriately.
  • Organize maintenance of prospect files and follow up on inquiries.
  • Implement group tracking and software within the Sales Department.
  • Support the Regional VP of Catering and Convention Services.
