About The Position

The Vice President of Medicare Growth Strategy at Humana will lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives for the Insurance Segment, focusing on Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and Specialty businesses. This role involves collaborating with senior leaders to address key business opportunities and challenges, guiding the creation of the Medicare Go-To-Market Strategy, and overseeing the annual Medicare bid process. The VP will also synthesize and communicate the Insurance Segment's strategy to key stakeholders, including the Management Team and Board of Directors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MPH, PhD, or graduate degree in a management field preferred.
• 6+ years of experience with a top-tier strategy consulting firm.
• Proven ability to drive a strategic agenda in a complex, multi-business environment.
• Experience in advancing organizational thinking about Integrated Health.
• Track record of delivering value through strategic initiatives and execution.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on team performance and development.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with executive presence.
• Experience in a large, matrixed company, preferably Fortune 150.
• Collaborative mindset with strong relationship-building skills.

Nice To Haves

• Current or recent experience in the healthcare or insurance industry, particularly Medicare Advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the Medicare Go-To-Market Strategy.
• Orchestrate the annual Medicare bid process.
• Conduct consumer research, including price elasticity and product features.
• Develop market-level strategy and investment prioritization.
• Perform competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.
• Act as Chief of Staff and promote a positive culture within the team.
• Manage program processes and ensure alignment with Medicare/Medicaid segments.
• Recruit, hire, and retain top talent while fostering a collaborative culture.
