The Vice President of Marine Operations - Government at TOTE Services LLC will play a pivotal role in developing and leading a dedicated team responsible for coordinating and executing government vessel operations and engineering. This position carries direct responsibility for ensuring safety, compliance, financial performance, and maintaining strong customer relationships within the operational span. The Vice President will collaborate closely with the TOTE Services executive team to formulate and administer organizational strategies aimed at fostering growth in customer relationships and enhancing operational efficiency. In this role, the Vice President will oversee the operation of the assigned fleet, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely and in compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and company policies. This includes the development and execution of annual financial plans, analyzing operational activities and financial data to assess progress towards established goals, and reporting results to the President. The Vice President will also be tasked with nurturing customer relationships, supporting clients as needed, and sharing both successes and challenges with the executive team and relevant departments across the company. A key responsibility will be to establish TOTE Services as the preferred maritime service partner for the U.S. Government. This involves working within the company framework to develop comprehensive responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), negotiating contracts, identifying risks, and ensuring compliance with all contract terms and obligations, including applicable FAR/DFAR requirements. The Vice President will set team goals and objectives that align with company initiatives, ensuring that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all team members are clearly defined and understood. Additionally, the Vice President will engage with shared resources such as Safety, Legal, Labor Relations, Finance, Contracts, Marine Personnel, and Purchasing to achieve organizational objectives. They will maintain a sound organizational plan to create opportunities for team members to develop skills and experience that will prepare them for growth and advancement. As a key stakeholder in the production of strategic plans for TOTE Services, the Vice President will also lead business development efforts within the government segment and represent TOTE Services at various industry events, committees, forums, and working groups.
