QualificationsSummary Of Role The Director of Third-Party Risk Management is responsible for performing the necessary functions to support and maintain the Third-Party Risk Management Program. Ensuring existing and future third-party relationships are appropriately identified and documented. Assists the Chief Risk Officer in the execution of risk management items and is responsible for the oversight of the TPRM Program.

Requirements

Seven plus years of risk management experience in a banking environment, or financial sales experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Management Business Management, Finance, Banking or related field.
A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position.
In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience.
Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.
Strong communication skills to develop good working relationships and to promote cooperation and compromise among various departments.
Display the ability to research and comprehend a high level of knowledge in current and developing regulations.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationship at all levels by proactively participating and contributing to a positive work environment, controlling emotions and temperament, and exhibiting courteous, respectful, and professional behavior.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators.
Must be able to routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.
Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management.
Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team.
Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions.
Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics.
Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive Third-Party Risk Management Program to ensure conformity with federal and state laws. Program should follow TPRM Lifecycle.
As necessary, propose updates to management regarding vendor management policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices.
Evaluates the Bank’s third-party relationships by collecting and preparing workpapers documenting due diligence performed to adequately support conclusions.
Establish the time frame for ongoing due diligence reviews, following up with relationship owners to ensure appropriate documentation is collected as required based on risk ratings.
Assist Relationship Managers in the development of SLAs and performance reviews of third-parties.
Prepares and analyzes reports for management regarding third-party relationships.
Responds to business unit inquiries related to existing and future third-party relationships.
Ensures appropriate due diligence and risk assessments are exercised in all phases of third-party relationships.
Works with relationship owners to ensure that they are holding vendors accountable for their actions in relation to our contract and service agreements.
Assist the Director, Enterprise Risk Manager in Bank initiatives as needed
Develop and maintain database and workflow for TPRM Program. Train RMs and others on use.
Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
