There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements. Wells Fargo Securities, LLC seeks a VP Lead Investment Banker in New York, New York. Job Role and Responsibility: Execute capital markets and M&A transactions for our corporate clients. Present complex ideas and analyses to internal and external parties. Generate strategic content, including industry analysis and product-specific concepts. Coordinate deliverables with internal product partners. Manage day-to-day project workflows. Develop junior talent. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time. Remote / telecommute work available, up to 1 day per week. Position required to appear in person at the location listed.

Requirements

  • Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position involving investment banking or capital markets experience.
  • Specific skills required: Advanced level knowledge of the energy and power sector dynamics, companies within the sector, and the technical understanding of their unique asset bases and operations and financial condition
  • Ability to analyze historical and project future performance to help develop strategic (M&A) and financing proposals (Capital Markets) and to execute those transactions with senior bankers as a lead financial advisor
  • Experience with sellside & buyside, IPOs / equity follow-ons, and acquisition financing
  • Experience advising on corporate finance solutions tailored specifically to each individual client’s circumstances
  • Experience with advising on equity capital, debt capital, and mergers & acquisitions.
  • Experience conducting financial analyses, including operational KPI benchmarking analysis, public trading comparables analysis, precedent transaction analysis, discounted cash flow analysis, and leverage buyout analysis.
  • Experience developing marketing materials including company positioning, market sizing, industry overview, transaction process structuring.
  • Experience with FactSet, Refinitiv, and Bloomberg.
  • Accountable for all workstreams for live projects including due diligence, financial analysis, marketing material curation, counterparty communication.
  • Coordination and management of client-related administrative documents including confidentiality agreements.
