The Vice President of Cyber Security is responsible for developing, maintaining, and evolving cybersecurity processes that protect MGMRI’s business operations and product development initiatives. Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), this role serves as the primary cybersecurity advisor across multiple business units, ensuring alignment with organizational risk and resilience goals. The VP actively supports incident response efforts, leading remediation actions and producing detailed reports that include root cause analysis and recommendations to prevent future occurrences, thereby strengthening the company’s overall cyber defense posture.

  • Design and implement cybersecurity processes and procedures to protect MGMRI’s operations and product development.
  • Conduct advanced investigations into cyber incidents, including fraud, identity theft, data breaches, intrusions, and organized cybercrime.
  • Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and trends to ensure proactive defense strategies.
  • Prioritize threat analysis based on risk and coordinate with internal teams to ensure appropriate response and communication.
  • Serve as the primary cybersecurity subject matter expert, advising stakeholders across the organization.
  • Lead incident response activities, including root cause analysis, containment, remediation, and post-incident reporting.
  • Manage internal and external notifications based on escalation protocols and alert priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with IT, legal, compliance, and business units to align cybersecurity efforts with organizational objectives.
  • Continuously enhance incident response capabilities through training, process improvements, and lessons learned.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronic engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in or with cybersecurity teams of similar size and mission to MGMRI.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity infrastructure, tools, and technologies, including network security architecture and traffic analysis.
  • Demonstrated success managing security events, alerts, incidents, and threats.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, GIAC, ISC2, or ISACA (preferred); experience with legal and compliance requirements in cybersecurity is a plus.
