About The Position

VP, Integration Leader The M&A Integration Leader will be the pivotal force responsible for planning, leading, and managing the end-to-end integration of Reworld’s strategic acquisitions. This role is critical to achieving the desired business value and strategic objectives expected from each deal

Requirements

  • Experience: 12+ years of M&A integration, consulting, or operational experience, with at least 7 years of direct M&A integration experience leading the integration function.
  • Track Record: Proven success integrating people, processes, and systems across multiple acquisitions, particularly within organizations completing several deals per year.
  • Strategic Blend: Must be able to seamlessly blend strategic advisory with strong process and rigorous analytical skills.
  • Influence & Leadership: Ability to be an influential business partner who can lead through influence and secure support from cross-functional executives for effective and efficient integration. Must drive accountability across the integration team.
  • Project Management: Exceptional project management, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills necessary for driving complex, global initiatives.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including superior presentation and executive reporting skills to C-level and Board audiences.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel (as needed) to support deal activities and integration.

Nice To Haves

  • An MBA or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with project management tools like Smartsheet is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Define and Champion Strategy: Establish the overall integration strategy (starting pre-close) to ensure clear alignment with strategic goals and drive deal value realization.
  • Drive Detailed Planning: Oversee and execute detailed integration planning, including defining clear milestones, timelines, resource allocation, and required costs to achieve deal-specific value and synergies.
  • End-to-End Execution: Manage the overall integration execution, from Day 1 onboarding through the completion of all go-to-market and functional integration efforts.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and manage integration risks. Drive effective resolution of complex, cross-functional integration issues and escalations.
  • Establish Success Metrics: Define and establish success metrics and scorecards (in partnership with People/Finance/Deal team) to rigorously track and report on integration progress and value realization performance.
  • Deal Team Core Member: Serve as a core member of the deal team, providing strategic M&A integration support, driving critical decisions, and contributing to business case development and due diligence.
  • Pre-Deal Engagement: Collaborate closely with the Business Development team throughout the M&A lifecycle, participating in target evaluation, due diligence, and negotiation of deal terms.
  • Trusted Advisor: Act as a partner and trusted advisor to the regions and functional teams, applying thought leadership, best practices, integration experience and deep knowledge of Reworld's operations.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead a complex, cross-functional project team consisting of operational experts, regional/functional representatives, and newly acquired employees.
  • Continuous Improvement: Build out and continuously improve Reworld’s M&A integration capabilities by identifying and developing process improvements, best practices, tools, and templates.
  • Institutionalize Learning: Conduct and institutionalize post-mortem processes to capture end-to-end deal learnings. Prepare comprehensive retrospectives for key acquisitions.
  • Performance Reporting: Define success metrics pre-deal, then measure and report acquisition performance against those metrics on a quarterly basis to the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
  • Cultural Stewardship: Stay abreast of Reworld’s priorities and exemplify the company culture to effectively support acquired companies through integration.
  • Growth Initiatives: Manage strategic and growth initiatives on an as-needed basis outside of M&A integration.
