Rochester Electronics is immediately hiring for a Vice President, Information Technology! After years of dedicated leadership, our longtime Vice President of Information Technology is preparing for a well-deserved retirement. Rochester Electronics is now seeking a dynamic and visionary Vice President of Information Technology to guide our global digital transformation and help shape the future of our technology strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to lead IT strategy, innovation, and infrastructure at a company that powers the world’s technology — ensuring every semiconductor component is available, authorized, and reliable for the long term. The Vice President of Information Technology (VP IT) serves as a key member of Rochester’s executive leadership team. This role is responsible for developing and executing the company’s global IT strategy — ensuring that our systems, cybersecurity, and digital capabilities empower every area of the business. You will lead global teams, guide digital transformation initiatives, and strengthen our data-driven decision-making capabilities — all while ensuring compliance and resilience in a fast-evolving semiconductor industry.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required (per U.S. export control regulations).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 15+ years of IT leadership experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, or global technology-driven industries.
  • Deep expertise in enterprise systems, global infrastructure, and digital transformation.
  • Strong experience with cloud technologies (SaaS, IaaS) and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Proven leadership in managing diverse global teams and strategic vendor partnerships.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and strategic thinking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a long-term IT vision aligned with Rochester’s global strategy and digital transformation goals.
  • Partner with executive, engineering, and operations leaders to ensure IT solutions support manufacturing efficiency, supply chain resilience, and business growth.
  • Lead IT governance, prioritization, and investment planning to maximize ROI and business value.
  • Oversee enterprise-wide IT operations across ERP, MES, SCADA, PLM, and CAD systems that drive semiconductor manufacturing excellence.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery for global systems and networks.
  • Drive implementation of Industry 4.0, IoT, automation, and advanced analytics to enhance production, yield, and operational insight.
  • Lead the enterprise cybersecurity strategy to protect intellectual property, trade secrets, and operational systems.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards, including ITAR, ISO 27001, GDPR, and other semiconductor-specific requirements.
  • Champion a proactive security culture and continuous risk mitigation.
