The Vice President of Inflight reports to our Chief Guest Officer and is responsible for leading & championing a rapidly growing team of Flight Attendants & Inflight Leaders to deliver an industry lead ing safe & reliable operation . This VP is responsible for the overall strategy and vision for Inflight in how Breeze train s and develop s I nflight team members to ensure Breeze guests receives a Seriously nice experience & Breeze Flight Attendants & Inflight leaders are set up for success . This role will be based at our HDQ in Cottonwood Heights or one of our Breeze bases throughout the system. Here's what you'll do

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience in aviation
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in an airline leadership role
  • 5+ years of experience leading large, diverse, and geographically dispersed teams
  • 5+ Years in an Inflight Leadership Role
  • Deep knowledge of the airline industry with specific experience leading Inflight operations, standards and training, safety and quality assurance programs and regulatory agencies (FAA, DOT, TSA)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale budgets and operational plans
  • Proven track record of driving operational performance, compliance, and guest service excellence
  • Experience developing and implementing organizational structure, training programs and change management strategies
  • High performance orientation, ability to work under pressure, prioritize projects, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with ability to influence and motivate at all levels of the organization
  • Must possess a val id Passpor t with the ability to travel unrestricted to/from the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in onboard sales and provision
  • Experience in Inflight policies and procedures, attendance control, Flight Attendant Manual development, Emergency Response and onboard sales program development and management
  • Experience with international operations and regulatory environments
  • Knowledge of airline systems (e.g., Navitaire, Gladly) and operational technologies
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the airline industry, including Inflight operations, and common work rules and practices

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Safety and Risk Management
  • Promote a culture of safety by encouraging proactive risk management
  • Foster an environment where safety is a top priority in all Inflight operations.
  • Develop a robust Inflight Quality Assurance program to ensure Federal Regulations and internal standards are met or exceeded
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance
  • Develop and manage a robust Inflight Quality Assurance program to ensure that Federal Aviation Regulations and internal standards and practices are met or exceeded on an ongoing basis
  • Drive Operational Excellence
  • Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiencies including turn times while assisting guests during boarding & deplaning

  • Defines, implements and sustains Breeze culture
  • Transforms Breeze values into daily behaviors to drive team member engagement, retention and business performance
  • Foster a Positive inclusive and collaborative environment
  • Empower Leadership
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing team including Inflight Operations, Training & Standards and Inflight Supervisors by cultivating a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to support the continuous development and growth of all inflight team members
  • Build Stakeholder Relations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies
  • Partner with Union leadership to further support shared objectives and resolve differences
  • Collaborate with the Breeze Talent Team to develop and support all aspects of Flight Attendant Recruitment
  • Be a Strategic Planner
  • Establish departmental goals and initiatives then measure the department’s success against them
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive inflight strategy that aligns with the airline’s overall business objectives
  • Continuously Improve
  • Collaborate with all operational Breeze teams to develop and implement contingency plans that address unforeseen disruptions and minimize impact on passengers
  • Technology Driven
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and oversee the integration of advanced solutions to support Inflight processes
  • Develop technology solutions to support company and departmental objectives
  • Manage Budgets
  • Develop and manage the Inflight budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve operational objectives
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining safety and service quality
