The HOA Lending Officer is responsible for originating and managing loans to HOAs including capital improvement loans, maintenance funding, and other community-based-financing solutions. The officer will work closely with the Regional Account Executives to provide customized financial products that align with regulatory requirements and client needs. Initiate and maintain customer contact, maintain awareness of loan portfolio and its sufficiency and cash flow reporting to Management. Build new business to expand own portfolio. Performs all duties in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with SmartStreet Regional Account Executives HOA boards, community management companies and related stakeholders.
  • Originate HOA loans, including term loans, lines of credit, and bridge loans.
  • Structure loan packages and present them for internal credit committee approval.
  • Conduct site visits, attend board meetings and represent the Bank at HOA industry events.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal staff on HOA lending products and market trends.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Real Estate preferred.
  • 6+ years of commercial or real estate lending experience, preferably with HOA or community association financing.
  • Strong knowledge of HOA governance, financial operations and legal structures.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
