The Global Site Head of Security is a senior leadership role responsible for defining, implementing, and leading TransMedics’ global corporate security strategy and operations. This individual will ensure the protection of our people, assets, information, and facilities across all regions, including our U.S. headquarters, National OCS Program (NOP) hubs, and international sites. Building on TransMedics’ strong foundation of operational excellence and integrity, this leader will develop a world-class, risk-based security program designed to protect the company’s workforce, enable business continuity, and maintain trust with patients, partners, and regulators. This role combines strategic leadership and operational execution, ensuring that security systems, policies, and protocols align with global standards and business priorities. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience designing and leading corporate security programs for organizations of comparable scale and complexity, integrating physical, personnel, and information security across a diverse set of functions and geographies. As a member of the SCO leadership team, the Global Head of Security will partner closely with Facilities, Engineering, EHS, Legal, IT, HR, and the Executive Leadership Team to anticipate risks, enhance resilience, and ensure a safe, secure, and compliant operating environment worldwide. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Lead Global Security Strategy – Develop and execute a comprehensive security strategy aligned with TransMedics’ mission, business growth, and regulatory requirements. Operational Security Leadership – Oversee day-to-day security operations across all sites, including physical access control, incident response, investigations, and threat management. Risk Management & Resilience – Implement a proactive, risk-based approach to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks that could impact people, assets, or operations. Global Site Protection – Establish and maintain robust physical security standards across HQ, NOP hubs, logistics centers, and international facilities. Crisis Management & Business Continuity – Develop and lead programs for emergency preparedness, crisis response, and continuity of operations in partnership with EHS and business leaders. Security Technology & Systems – Oversee deployment and optimization of modern security systems (video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, visitor management, etc.). Investigations & Incident Response – Lead or coordinate investigations related to theft, misconduct, or security incidents in collaboration with HR and Legal. Collaboration with Technical & Operational Teams – Partner with Facilities, Engineering, IT, and Logistics to integrate security planning into all site development, operations, and systems. Vendor & Partner Oversight – Manage security service providers, consultants, and technology partners to ensure consistent, high-quality execution. Training & Culture – Build a strong security culture through awareness, training, and leadership engagement across all levels of the organization. Financial Management – Develop and manage security budgets with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and strategic value.
