About the position

The Global Logistics Lead role is focused on managing and optimizing the movement of small packages, primarily letters, while ensuring cost efficiency and service excellence. The ideal candidate will oversee logistics operations, maintain strong relationships with courier partners such as DHL, FedEx, and UPS, ensure compliance with Citi/industry standards and regulations, and form strong partnerships with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of contact for Logistics in Citi.
  • Work with Mail Center leads and internal pricing audit teams to ensure day-to-day operations within mail centers are optimal and pricing from suppliers is accurate via the audit supplier.
  • Work with couriers to ensure timely and secure delivery of critical documents while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
  • Operate with a limited level of direct supervision and exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Act as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
  • Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with courier services, including DHL, FedEx, and UPS.
  • Work with Citi Sourcing to negotiate contracts, rates and service agreements to ensure competitive pricing and high service quality.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalation and service-related matters.
  • Analyze shipping trends and develop strategies to reduce costs while improving service levels.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for delivery partners and overall logistics performance.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and minimize delivery errors.
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with internal policies, legal requirements and industry standards.
  • Manage risks associated with the delivery of time sensitive and/or confidential shipments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align logistics capabilities to business requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between Citi and courier services to resolve delivery challenges promptly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or a related field or related experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management or vendor management.
  • Strong understanding of courier operations, particularly with DHL, FedEx and UPS.
  • Excellent communication and relationship/stakeholder management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
