About The Position

The Compliance Anti Money Laundering Risk Management Officer is a senior professional responsible for establishing internal procedures to prevent money laundering and assist in financial crime matters. This role involves collaborating with the broader Anti-Money Laundering (AML) team to identify risks, formulate strategic recommendations, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
  • AML certification required
  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements including local, US, and international laws
  • Working knowledge of industry standards and practices
  • Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 6-10 years' experience in AML, KYC and other related regulatory fields
  • Minimum 4-6 years' experience working with Risk Methodologies applying quantitative and statistical expertise
  • Proficient in using data analytics tools such as Oracle PL/SQL, MS SQL; knowledge of R, SAS, Python and VBA for advanced analytics is a plus
  • Experience in Methodology Risk management and validation, working with internal auditors and external regulators
  • Great verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Identify, vet and address potential risks or escalated issues with the assistance of functional partners
  • Collaborate with the team to provide advice to business regarding policies and implementation of AML program and regulatory changes
  • Provide input/advice on business initiatives, new products, and complex transactions
  • Supervise and participate in internal assurance processes such as Enterprise wide AML risk assessment, self-assessment, and internal audit
  • Promote global consistency of AML ACRM practices and policies within business line and cross-sector
  • Analyze data, prepare and present regional/global reports related to AML risk assessments, and monitor AML related issues and escalations
  • Develop and implement AML Compliance Risk Management (ACRM) standards and policies
  • Assess risk when business decisions are made, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and managing control issues with transparency
  • Serve as point of contact for KYC Risk Subcommittee
  • Maintain and develop relationships with business partners to ensure timely addressing of topics raised during subcommittee discussions
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to identify, track and resolve risk related issues
  • Design and implement visualization for analytics initiatives to facilitate effective decision making among leadership
  • Maintain and enhance Customer Risk Scoring SharePoint as a centralized portal for documentation and communications
  • Coordinate annual survey process for AML/CFT Geographic Risk List, Covered Exchange and Covered Regulator list
  • Provide training and walk-through of Customer Risk Scoring overview to meet needs from internal and external stakeholders
