About The Position

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Supply Chain Finance to serve as the senior financial leader and strategic partner for its global Supply Chain organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Supply Chain Officer, this role operates as a true partner with Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, and Corporate Finance leadership. This is a high-impact executive role for a finance leader who combines deep analytical capability with strong judgment and executive presence. The VP will shape financial strategy, influence enterprise decisions, and ensure disciplined execution across a complex, asset-intensive supply chain.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including senior roles supporting large-scale, intensive, and complex operating environments.
  • Proven success partnering with executive leadership in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, Retail, or similar asset-intensive businesses.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required; MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in large, matrixed, fast-moving organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end Supply Chain financial strategy, including long-range planning, annual operating plans, rolling forecasts, and scenario modeling, with clear articulation of trade-offs across cost, service, inventory, and capital to guide network design, sourcing, and capacity decisions.
  • Anticipate macroeconomic and operational risks; translate uncertainty into actionable options for executive leadership.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CSCO, providing independent insight, challenge, and perspective.
  • Establish a rigorous performance management cadence with executive-ready KPIs and insights.
  • Shift the organization from reporting-focused to decision-oriented analytics, embedding financial insight directly into operating and investment decisions.
  • Identify and drive structural cost, margin, and productivity opportunities across distribution, transportation, manufacturing, and inventory.
  • Lead capital investment analysis and post-investment performance accountability.
  • Oversee Supply Chain P&L ownership, including forecast accuracy, monthly close, accruals, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure strong financial controls, governance, and compliance across all distribution centers, hubs, and manufacturing operations.
  • Partner closely with Corporate Finance, Accounting, and Audit to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Develop and deliver concise, compelling financial narratives for the C-suite and Board
  • Translate complex financial and operational issues into clear, plain-language recommendations.
  • Serve as the senior financial interface between Supply Chain leadership and corporate partners.
  • Build and lead a high-performing Supply Chain finance organization with strong analytical and business partnership capabilities.
  • Set a high bar for talent, rigor, and accountability; actively develop successors and future leaders.
  • Lead change across systems, processes, and behaviors to modernize Supply Chain finance capabilities.
