The Role The FFIO Quality Management Vice President is a new strategic role responsible for the proactive identification of risk and establishment of controls to mitigate gaps in the control environment. This role requires an innovative and thoughtful leader to create a significantly improved control environment using automation and data analytics. You will be required to engage with all parts FFIO to optimize the use of the process and control data available among the various groups to synthesize the various data sets and identify difficult to identify thematic issues that when addressed can significantly improve our control environment and our associate experience. Along with internal coordination and communication, you will work extensively with leaders of all operational areas, as well as FFIO Risk and Technology. The role is expected to be a strategic leader in the FFIO Digital Operations organization and participate in strategic planning, quality management training and education, associate development and other leadership opportunities as needed. Quickly understand complex processes and assess risk across the entire FFIO organization. Analyze incident data to identify themes and prioritize opportunities for improvement in the operations. Influence the organization in making process improvements. Establish and maintain a Quality Controls & Analytics framework focused on quality and accuracy improvement. Partner with stakeholders in operations, as well as external groups, to ensure opportunities are optimized and appropriately prioritized. Formalize a data analytics approach focused on issue identification through creative thinking and automation Effectively interact with all levels of management to handle all aspects of the Process Assurance and Control process Collaborate with the robotics and other automation teams to ensure controls and processes are effectively designed to reduce the potential for exposure. Provide regular updates to senior FFIO leadership. Contribute to business planning and strategy development. Drive improvements and risk reduction efforts. Use conceptual and creative thinking; interpersonal understanding; analytical skills Manage and develop associate talent and growth Lead initiatives in a fast paced and deadline driven environment Establish and continually improve standard operating procedures for quality control. The Team Fidelity Fund & Investment Operations (FFIO) is a division of Fidelity Investments, which provides investment management support services to Fidelity businesses and mutual fund shareholders. FFIO provides a wide range of asset servicing functions including proxy research, information and data services, pricing, cash management, accounting, integrated solutions, relationship management, and global product services.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 15-20 years’ experience working in operations focused on control design and improvement
  • At least 5 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in audit, risk or quality management related roles required.
  • Experience with data analytics tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of operational processes and controls
  • Expertise in risk and quality control functions
