This position will provide thought leadership and oversight for the enterprise data technology foundation, ensuring platforms, engineering standards, and operations are aligned with business priorities and IT architecture. Operating in a hub-and-spoke model, this position leads a centralized enablement function that empowers decentralized data teams across business units. This role is responsible for delivering shared capabilities, enterprise standards, and expert coaching to accelerate responsible, scalable, and impactful data use. This role partners closely with the Chief AI and Data Officer (CAIDO), who owns business data strategy, governance, and AI enablement. The IT Data Strategy leader is accountable for technology standards, platform operations, and engineering enablement, while the CAIDO defines business standards, data governance frameworks, and AI strategy. Together, they co-lead the enterprise data governance program, with clearly defined domains of authority.

  • Define and evolve the enterprise technology data strategy in alignment with IT architecture and business goals.
  • Partner with business unit IT leaders to ensure flexibility while maintaining enterprise consistency.
  • Evaluate emerging tools and set integration patterns to expand enterprise capabilities.
  • Report progress and strategic outcomes to executive leadership.
  • Establish architectural patterns, integration standards, and reusable blueprints for data platforms and pipelines.
  • Provide engineering standards, accelerators, and integration support to uplift decentralized development efforts.
  • Coach and enable technology teams through shared capabilities.
  • Define and maintain enterprise technology data standards and governance frameworks in alignment with enterprise policies.
  • Establish enterprise-wide technology standards for data pipelines, integration, security, and compliance.
  • Promote best practices through technical governance forums, data councils, and community events.
  • Serve as the technology owner of enterprise platforms
  • Manage platform lifecycles, vendor relationships, licensing, upgrades, and adoption.
  • Oversee production operations for enterprise data platforms, ensuring availability, scalability, and resilience.
  • Continuously improve data operations through automation and proactive issue management.
  • Partner with AI and analytics teams to ensure data platforms support scalable, ethical, and performant GenAI solutions.
  • Align data infrastructure with model development and ML Ops to support advanced analytics initiatives
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in data architecture, governance, platforms, or operations
  • Proven success in defining and executing data technology strategies at an enterprise scale
  • Strong expertise in data integration, data platforms, data operations, and governance framework
