  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in machine vision imaging, robotics, industrial automation, or networking.
  • Hands-on experience with FPGA technologies such as Altera.
  • Proven ability to lead products from inception to end-of-life.
  • Experience in managing geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong foundation in engineering and a hands-on approach to product development.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of engineering projects, from inception to implementation.
  • Maintain vigilance on timelines and budgets to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify potential risks in engineering processes and implement mitigation measures.
  • Stay updated on the latest engineering trends and technologies.
  • Build, expand, and lead a highly effective engineering team, complemented by external resources.
  • Seek out innovative solutions that align with and advance the company's strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with the President to define technical strategy and develop actionable roadmaps.
  • Cultivate a positive workplace culture, fostering a high-performing and psychologically safe environment.
  • Evaluate the current engineering team and make necessary adjustments to develop a high-functioning department.
  • Influence the business’s positioning in the market and its competitive edge.
  • Ensure engineering outcomes align with the highest standards of quality and innovation.
  • Manage a geographically dispersed team and bridge time zones for effective collaboration.
  • Adapt to evolving market dynamics, technological trends, and consumer preferences.
  • Aggressively seek out solutions to ensure the delivery of measurable and sustainable products.
