About The Position

The VP Engineering & Environment, Health & Safety at Glanbia Nutritionals Services, LLC in Twin Falls, ID is responsible for coordinating strategic, IT, and business sustaining projects with the Executive Team to drive alignment on business priorities, resource allocation, and meet critical milestones to support the annual budget. This role involves managing and tracking the Capital Expense Budget, leading a team of over 60 engineering, safety, technical services, and environmental health and safety managers and professionals. The VP will establish and maintain Capex policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and providing necessary training. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving Capex project proposals, supervising the creation of CapEx proposals, directing the management of approved projects, and providing technical recommendations for new equipment and technology. The position also requires ensuring sustainability commitments are met, managing the Environmental, Health and Safety department, overseeing compliance across all sites, and leading business continuity planning. The role demands collaboration with various business development groups and achieving financial objectives through budget preparation and analysis.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree or U.S. equivalent in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • 4 years of professional experience as an Engineer or in a related field involving engineering and environment, health and safety.
  • 4 years of experience assessing feasibility of new equipment, process, product, and technical information in the food and beverage industry.
  • 4 years of experience preparing financial business case information for capital investment.
  • 4 years of experience submitting annual budget packages and maintaining cashflow views.
  • 4 years of experience overseeing profit and loss accounts and cost of manufacturing.
  • 4 years of experience partnering with procurement on contracts with vendors.
  • 4 years of experience performing capital budget preparation.
  • 4 years of experience interpreting technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
  • 4 years of experience working with mass balance formulas for milk, cheese, and protein processes.
  • 4 years of experience reviewing regulatory compliance and environmental permits.
  • 4 years of experience responding to inquiries from regulatory agencies.
  • 4 years of experience presenting information on capital investment and safety metrics.
  • 4 years of experience maintaining compliance with regulatory safety policies.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate strategic, IT, and business sustaining projects with the Executive Team.
  • Manage and track the Capital Expense Budget.
  • Lead a team of 60+ engineering, safety, technical services, and environmental health and safety managers and professionals.
  • Establish and maintain Capex policies and procedures.
  • Review and approve Capex project proposals for completion and accuracy.
  • Supervise the creation of CapEx proposals, including process design, scope, budget, and schedules.
  • Direct the management of approved projects to performance, budget, and schedule.
  • Accountable for overall facility infrastructure.
  • Provide technical/engineering recommendations for new equipment/technology.
  • Ensure sustainability commitments are met, including energy, water, and waste reduction strategies.
  • Manage the Environmental, Health and Safety department, including budgeting and personnel management.
  • Oversee wastewater treatment facilities, air pollution control devices, and stormwater permitting.
  • Provide strategy and deliver ESRS needs for Health and Safety across the organization.
  • Write Health and Safety and ESRS excerpts for the annual report.
  • Lead OT automation team responsible for plant and process IT systems.
  • Comply with internal Risk Management System and external insurance providers.
  • Lead business continuity planning across all facilities.
  • Collaborate with business development groups to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Achieve financial objectives by preparing the Engineering and Services budget.
  • Drive strong career management and succession planning in partnership with HR Business Partners.

Benefits

  • Salary: $215,000 - $260,000 per year.
  • Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week.
  • International travel required up to 10%; Domestic travel required up to 50%.
