About The Position

Responsible for driving Finance of America's strategic vision for innovative technologies, including generative AI, to enhance business performance, optimize costs, and create tangible value across the company. Oversees the identification, evaluation, and implementation of cutting-edge technologies while ensuring alignment with business goals. Balances innovation with risk management and regulatory considerations, ensuring that new solutions adhere to industry standards and compliance frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of risk management, AI, and information technology fields, with 10 years of progressive management experience, including 4 years in a senior management role.
• 10 years demonstrated senior corporate leadership experience, ideally in building programs across a diversified organization.
• Knowledge of key U.S. laws and regulations relating to financial services technology and artificial intelligence.
• Knowledge of a wide range of technologies and how to best leverage them at enterprise scale to achieve strategic objectives that drive enterprise business outcomes.
• Familiarity with working on mergers, acquisitions, and business transformation efforts.
• Experience managing large budgets and identifying cost efficiencies.
• Familiarity with lending and technology industry trends and strategic direction.
• Strong decision-making capabilities, with the ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate action(s).
• Ability to take initiative, work autonomously, and drive projects forward to completion.
• Ability to present complex material in an easily understandable format (written or oral) and communicate effectively across groups, including executives, with varying levels of technology knowledge.
• Highly motivated with an ability to manage open-ended challenges, to prioritize effectively, manage multiple matters, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to stay abreast of rapidly changing technologies and ideas across the lending space.
• Comfortable working amidst structural uncertainty to bring order and process where there is none.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes a comprehensive emerging technology strategy that aligns with Finance of America's long-term objectives.
• Identifies and evaluates high-impact technology trends, assessing their potential for enterprise adoption and competitive advantage.
• Leads corporate-wide initiatives to integrate emerging technologies into business processes, fostering innovation and efficiency while partnering with C-suite executives to define and prioritize technology-driven business opportunities.
• Ensures that emerging technology initiatives align with regulatory frameworks and oversees compliance with SOX IT General Controls and FFIEC best practices.
• Implements governance structures and risk mitigation strategies for AI and data-driven solutions.
• Collaborates with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to establish responsible AI policies and ethical data use guidelines, ensuring that all technology implementations meet industry standards.
• Oversees the financial modeling, budgeting, and ROI analysis for emerging technology investments, guiding vendor selection and partnership strategies to optimize technology acquisition and implementation.
• Identifies cost-saving opportunities through technology efficiencies and automation, ensuring that all technological investments provide measurable business impact.
• Influences technology adoption and fosters an innovation-driven culture, championing digital transformation initiatives, ensuring organizational readiness for new technologies, while also leading education and training programs to enhance technological fluency across the enterprise.
• Directs AI, data science, and machine learning programs, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Develops frameworks for evaluating experimental tech use cases and driving data-driven decision-making.
• Continuously identifies opportunities for AI-driven business improvements and ensures that the company remains at the forefront of technological advancements.
• Communicates emerging technology strategies and objectives across all levels of the organization, ensuring transparency and alignment.
• Drives support for new technology initiatives and pilot programs by building cross-functional coalitions.
• Establishes metrics and reporting frameworks to measure the success of technology implementations, ensuring that emerging tech investments are strategically guided and yield measurable outcomes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
