About The Position

Wpromote is seeking a VP of Data Strategy & Analytics to rapidly scale our industry-leading Data Strategy & Analytics (DSA) operation. This executive will bring the best of Wpromote’s data, analytics, and measurement capabilities from enterprise clients to our entire portfolio and ensure we can scale delivery excellence through improved processes, team structure, and systems. This leader will combine technical depth, operational rigor, and strong people leadership to evolve Wpromote’s data ecosystem, elevate cross-functional collaboration, and shape the next phase of our measurement and analytics capabilities. They will bring a generalist yet deeply knowledgeable point of view across tagging, CDP, data engineering, BI, MMM, incrementality, and custom analytics work—while acting as a product owner for our DSA solutions and market-facing positioning. A key focus of this role is operationalizing the DSA team—building scalable processes, driving accountability, streamlining delivery, and ensuring the team delivers consistent, high-quality work across all clients. This executive will be responsible for resource planning, forecasting, time tracking/allocations oversight, and ensuring repeatable, predictable excellence across retainer clients, project work, new business, and all in-queue engagements. The anticipated annual salary for this role will range from $220,000 - $250,000, based on consideration of a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, education and certifications, competitive benchmarks, scope of responsibility, market dynamics, geographic location, and respective state’s salary threshold for exempt employees. The total compensation package for this role will include benefits (listed above) and an annual performance bonus. This role has an associated annual target bonus component which is paid out based on a number of factors which include Company performance, department performance, and individual performance. Bonuses are not guaranteed and you must be an active employee in good standing and not on a Performance Improvement Plan to be eligible for the annual bonus. Requirements

  • 15+ years leading data strategy, analytics, or measurement teams within a tech-enabled services, consulting, or agency environment.
  • Proven experience operationalizing a data and analytics function—building processes, frameworks, governance models, and scalable delivery systems.
  • Expertise overseeing data teams across: tagging, CDP/identity, data engineering, BI dashboards, MMM/MTA, incrementality, and custom analytics projects.
  • A strong generalist skill set that brings systems thinking, strategic rigor, and product-oriented solutioning.
  • Deep knowledge of digital measurement: privacy implications, evolving AI search behavior, cross-channel attribution, and modern marketing analytics.
  • A track record of mentoring, developing, and holding leaders accountable—with demonstrated success building and scaling high-performing teams.
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce, analytics tools, GTM systems, and the broader martech ecosystem.
  • Exceptional client communication and executive stakeholder management skills.
  • A builder mindset with the ability to move from high-level strategy into hands-on problem-solving and process optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Operationalizing & Scaling the Data Strategy & Analytics Function:
  • Building and optimizing the operational backbone of the DSA team—processes, workflows, time tracking, deliverable standards, staffing models, and accountability frameworks.
  • Ensuring the team consistently delivers on deadlines, scopes, resourcing allocations, and performance expectations across all clients.
  • Structuring the team for scalable growth, with clear career paths, mentorship, coaching, and development plans for Associate Directors, Directors, and future leaders.
  • Holding leaders accountable for team performance, client health, utilization efficiencies, and revenue goals across the DS&A business line.
  • Leading Visionary, Enterprise-Level Data Strategy:
  • Acting as the executive strategic lead for enterprise client engagements, defining complex measurement challenges, architecting solutions, and guiding clients toward greater maturity.
  • Overseeing solutions spanning tagging architecture, CDPs, identity strategy, data engineering pipelines, BI reporting, MMM, MTA, incrementality testing, and custom analytics solutions.
  • Setting the long-term vision for how Wpromote’s data strategy, analytics, and measurement capabilities evolve in an AI-powered future.
  • Delivering Scalable, Repeatable Measurement Solutions:
  • Designing and operationalizing measurement frameworks, playbooks, forecasting models, and reporting automation that scale across Wpromote’s client base.
  • Translating new deliverables into timelines, resource plans, and repeatable processes that ensure operational efficiency and clarity across teams.
  • Partnering with Product leadership to package DS&A offerings into scalable products powered by Polaris, internal data models, and AI-driven insights.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Partnership:
  • Collaborating with Sales, Client Services, Marketing Science, Paid Media, Transformation, Engineering, and Finance to align on forecasting, modeling, analytics roadmap, and revenue impact.
  • Acting as the central DS&A voice in new business—developing case studies, value props, POVs, and executive presentations that differentiate Wpromote in the market.
  • Driving adoption and alignment of novel measurement solutions across internal teams and client partners.
  • Thought Leadership & Market Differentiation:
  • Serving as a subject matter expert and industry-facing authority on digital measurement, privacy strategy, AI in analytics, and advanced modeling methodologies.
  • Representing Wpromote in webinars, conferences, and thought leadership initiatives to elevate our brand in the measurement and analytics ecosystem.
  • Leadership and Scale:
  • Leading a team of division leaders across Data Strategy, Data Analysis, Data Engineering, BI, Solutions Engineering, Data Science, while partnering closely with Product, Client Services, and Service teams.
  • Building a growing and evolving organization that must be designed for scale, repeatability, and margin-conscious delivery.
