We are hiring a Vice President of Data Science & Analytics to build and scale a modern data organization that powers decision-making across Midi. This leader will bring executive-level influence, operational rigor, and clarity through data. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Clinical Operations, and Finance leaders to define KPIs, build data products, and drive measurable business outcomes. This role is ideal for a strategic operator who can connect business strategy with data execution and establish data as a true competitive advantage at Midi.

Requirements

  • Experience leading 10+ person data teams at scale in a fast-growth environment ($300M+ run-rate or similar complexity).
  • Proven track record turning insights into business decisions and action.
  • Strong cross-functional operator. Trusted by cross functional teams.
  • Excellent written communication (concise decision memos, KPI narratives).
  • Experience implementing pragmatic data governance (privacy, access tiers, data-sharing).
  • Familiarity with modern data architecture (warehouse + dbt + monitoring tools).
  • Executive presence and ability to influence without authority.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, healthtech, or regulated data environments (EHR, claims).
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline.
  • Prior experience monetizing data or shaping data product offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute a modern data strategy tied to business outcomes.
  • Scale a high-performing analytics and data science team.
  • Create 6-month org design and hiring plan; mentor team on prioritization and influence.
  • Co-own KPI definitions across Finance, Product, and GTM.
  • Publish Insight Notes that power external storytelling with partners and investors.
  • Develop incremental revenue opportunities by partnering on data product strategy.
  • Install lightweight operating mechanisms (pre-reads, decision memos, metric change-control).
  • Ensure data governance, de-identification, and privacy practices support speed and trust.
  • Drive KPI visibility across growth, quality, and operational performance.
  • Work hand-in-hand with Commercial, Marketing, and Clinical leaders to make data actionable.
  • Build trusted relationships with exec leadership as a thought partner.
  • Increase data literacy across teams; embed analytics into planning and decision cycles.
