About The Position

The VP of Data Analytics will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of data initiatives across the organization. This role is responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive business growth, operational efficiency, and innovation. The ideal candidate will combine strategic leadership with deep technical expertise, ensuring data quality, governance, and the effective use of advanced analytics to support Stocktwits’ long-term goals.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data science, including 5+ years in a leadership capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proficiency in modern data analytics tools, data warehousing, and visualization platforms (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).
• Demonstrated experience implementing machine learning or AI-driven analytical solutions.
• Proven ability to translate complex data into business insights that influence strategy and growth.
• Strong track record of building and developing high-performing data teams in fast-paced, digital environments.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts for executive and non-technical audiences.
• Experience partnering across departments to embed data-driven thinking throughout an organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive data and analytics strategy that aligns with company objectives and drives measurable impact.
• Establish and maintain strong data governance frameworks to ensure accuracy, consistency, compliance, and security across all systems.
• Partner with executive leadership, product, media, and sales teams to translate data into strategic insights that inform company decisions.
• Ensure all data initiatives are tightly aligned with business goals, driving insights that influence growth, engagement, and operational performance.
• Identify opportunities to leverage advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning to enhance operations, improve user experience, and fuel innovation.
• Oversee the development of reporting tools, dashboards, and data models that empower teams with real-time, actionable intelligence.
