About The Position

The Corporate Strategy team at F5 Networks seeks an exceptional executive to help define the company's long-term strategic direction. The VP of Corporate Strategy will play a critical role formulating strategy, evaluating and analyzing business opportunities, and driving cross-functional efforts to advance our strategic position. This individual will lead a small, high-impact team and cross-functional virtual teams to deliver high-impact business projects. These projects span strategic growth initiatives to operational excellence programs. This individual will spearhead the company's ongoing strategy refinement process and be responsible for mobilizing F5's worldwide workforce. The role requires close interaction with senior executives throughout the company. This person will therefore have a significant opportunity to impact the growth, direction and future of F5 Networks.

Requirements

  • Experience identifying, evaluating and analyzing critical strategic questions and business situations.
  • Prior experience of 12-18 years in a combination of management consulting and/or strategy roles.
  • Preference for candidates with operating experience within a company.
  • Outstanding record of sound business judgment and advice to senior leaders.
  • Proven experience managing strategy teams and leading cross-functionally to solve business problems.
  • Broad exposure to different business models and business strategies.
  • Experience working across multiple business units/functions to drive consensus.
  • MBA or demonstrated equivalent; engineering degree a plus.
