The role: The Vice President, Corporate Marketing owns the development and execution of SailPoint’s brand and communications strategy, helping to ensure the company maintains its dominant position in identity security. Reporting to the CMO, this position is responsible for SailPoint’s brand identity and brand voice, all external communications, including our executive thought leadership, plus how we market to our customers and set them up for long-term success throughout their journey with us. The brand and creative team, corporate communications team and customer marketing team all report into this role.

Requirements

  • 15+ years brand and corporate communications experience, within a high growth enterprise SaaS company
  • Strong understanding of how brand activities connect to demand and overall business performance.
  • Passion for storytelling and driving executive speaker platforms
  • Experience communicating the impact of brand activities to C-level executives.
  • Experience managing globally diverse teams and agency networks; prior agency experience is a plus
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10%-15% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Shape, refine and govern SailPoint’s brand identity, from visuals to tone of voice and overall company messaging.
  • Drive impactful executive communications strategy across CEO, President and other key leaders, ensuring everything from their keynotes to written blogs and bylines are stand-out, speak to their “voice” and underpin a compelling and thoughtful speaker platforms for each. This includes driving messaging and main stage content strategy for SailPoint’s cornerstone event, Navigate.
  • Partner with brand & creative director to oversee brand governance, keeping brand standards up-to-date and driving consistency across properties, while ensuring that the brand stays fresh, exciting and engaging
  • Lead global PR team in the development and execution of a coordinated, company-wide PR strategy with measurable objectives. Ensure regional nuances are factored into PR plans and media strategy across EMEA, APJ and Americas.
  • Drive industry analyst relations strategy to keep SailPoint top-of-mind with key analysts, influencing their view of the market and of SailPoint.
  • Guide social media team in setting goals, content strategy, performance management and break-through ideas that engage key buyers and influencers in meaningful ways.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Legal, and Investor Relations to ensure message consistency, disclosure discipline, and risk mitigation in a public-company environment. This includes the quarterly earnings communications process, including earnings releases, prepared remarks, internal employee communications, and executive talking points as needed
  • Partner with finance and investor relationship to develop and maintain financial messaging frameworks and executive visibility strategies that elevate the CFO across external platforms—such as intranet channels, leadership forums, conferences, and industry events.
  • Partner with customer success team to deliver adoption/cross/upsell campaigns that deepen our customers’ investment in SailPoint; balance this with delivery of strong advocacy program across customer references, customer stories (blogs, videos, etc.), Executive Advisory Board meetings and Executive Sponsorship Programs.
  • Curate, architect and distribute centralized corporate thought leadership content such as customer stories, exec and subject matter expert thought leadership, blogs, etc.
  • Oversee the selection of creative, communications, and PR agencies and manage these critical relationships.
