Reporting directly to the Chief Procurement Officer, the Vice President, Supply Chain ESG & Corporate Services is a strategic and operational leader responsible for shaping and executing Equinix’s global supply chain ESG strategy and corporate services procurement. This role oversees a high-performing team and manages critical supplier relationships and platforms, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder expectations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience leading sustainability initiatives, with deep knowledge of ESG frameworks, Scope 3 emissions, and responsible supply chain practices—ideally within the technology or infrastructure sectors.
  • 15+ years of hands-on experience managing complex, high-demand procurement categories.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, supplier negotiations, and industry best practices.
  • A strong track record of driving continuous improvement through business process optimization and systems analysis, with 10+ years of progressive experience in operational transformation.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and stakeholders across Legal, Finance, HR, IT, and external partners.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to boards and executive leadership.
  • Strong ability to align departmental goals with broader business strategy.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency and a passion for delivering high-quality, innovative solutions that enhance procurement and ESG performance.
  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Management, Law, Engineering, Software, Psychology, or equivalent experience that demonstrates analytical and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy and execution for over $1B USD in annual spend across categories including Global Travel, Contingent Workforce (Equiflex), Professional Services, and Software.
  • Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and dispute resolution.
  • Drive on- and off-contract value creation aligned with Equinix’s business objectives.
  • Oversee procurement platforms and ensure operational excellence across sourcing, contracting, and supplier performance.
  • Design and implement a 5-year ESG strategy across an $8B+ global supply chain, addressing risk, resilience, revenue, and reputation.
  • Lead programs supporting $2B+ in customer contractual ESG commitments, including Scope 3 GHG accounting, Net Zero targets, Supplier Diversity, Human Rights, and Responsible Electronics Disposal.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance across 50+ global regulations, mitigating $500M+ in revenue risk.
  • Drive internal and external ESG reporting and stakeholder engagement (customers, investors, regulators).
  • Own and maintain key procurement policies: Global Purchasing, Travel & Expense, and Contingent Worker.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, HR, and IT to ensure policy accuracy and enforceability.
  • Lead Third Party Risk Management (KYS), maintain the Procurement ERM Risk Register, and present risk mitigation outcomes to the Board.
  • Ensure audit readiness and continuous improvement of procurement controls and compliance.
  • Build and mentor a diverse, high-performing leadership team with a strong succession pipeline.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization.
