The Vice President, Communications leads NAB’s communications function, shaping and executing media relations strategies that advance the association’s advocacy priorities before Congress and the Federal Communications Commission. This role serves as a trusted advisor to NAB leadership, including the Chief of Staff and CEO, and acts as the primary spokesperson with policy, trade, and national media on issues impacting the broadcast industry. This is a high-impact role for a politically savvy communicator who thrives in fast-moving environments, has a strong reporter network and knows how to shape narratives that influence policymakers, media and public opinion. The VP, Communications plays a critical role in elevating NAB’s voice, strengthening its reputation, and ensuring consistent, compelling messaging across traditional media, social platforms, and key public-facing moments. Public Affairs at NAB sits at the forefront of policy, media, and public discourse. We work in close partnership with Government Relations, Legal and Regulatory Affairs to translate complex policy and regulatory issues into clear, credible, and persuasive narratives for policymakers, the press, and the public. Our work is fast-paced and highly visible. As Vice President, Communications, you will help define NAB’s public voice, guide advocacy messaging at pivotal moments, and ensure the broadcast industry’s perspective is heard, understood, and respected at the highest levels.
