About The Position

We are seeking a driven, relationship‑oriented Private Client Relationship Manager to expand our presence across the Rhode Island and Southeastern MA with high-net-worth members and the small‑business community. This individual will be in the community - identifying, engaging, and cultivating relationships with business owners who can benefit from our consumer and small business deposit, cash‑management, and lending solutions. Additional performance-based commission opportunity with this position. The ideal candidate is a proactive person who has a proven record of building a strong pipeline, understands small business owners’ business and personal financial needs, and collaborates seamlessly with internal partners to deliver a best‑in‑class member experience. Requirements

  • Proven success in business development, sales, or relationship management in banking or financial services with a large portfolio of relationships that has grown over time.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage a member pipeline with discipline and consistency to acquire, retain, and grow high-net-worth and small business owner relationships.
  • Strong understanding of high-net-worth and small business financial needs, including deposits, cash management, and lending.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and prior success working independently in the field.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and excellent customer service skills, demeanor, appropriate business appearance, and demonstrated knowledge of Coastal1’s products and services, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and upbeat Coastal1 image.
  • Ability to handle confidential information securely.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all levels and functions of Coastal1 to coordinate solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout Rhode Island.
  • Familiarity with PC’s and basic office software such as MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Build a pipeline of relationships with business owners, centers of influence, community organizations, and referral partners.
  • Develop and execute a disciplined weekly routine to acquire, retain, and grow high-net-worth relationships and business opportunities.
  • Manage a robust pipeline of prospects, ensuring consistent movement through the sales cycle.
  • Present and sell the value of Coastal1’s consumer and business deposit accounts, cash management services, and lending solutions.
  • Identify lending opportunities and work closely with lending teams to structure solutions.
  • Represent Coastal1 Credit Union at networking events, business associations, and community functions.
  • Partner with branch managers, commercial lenders, and senior leaders to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Ensure smooth handoffs and coordinated support for new and existing small business members.
  • Share market insights and prospecting strategies with internal teams to strengthen overall market performance.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to prospective high-net-worth and small business members, understanding their operational needs and financial goals.
  • Provide seamless onboarding experience for high-net-worth and business members.
  • Maintain ongoing communication to ensure long-term satisfaction and retention.
  • All other responsibilities as assigned.
