About The Position

The VP, CIO, in collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team, is responsible for developing and implementing a technology strategy that meets Optiv Security’s short and long-term objectives. The VP, CIO will be the primary consultant to the Executive team on future trends in technology and assist in identifying opportunities for Optiv Security to leverage technology to promote high quality clinical value outcomes while acting as an effective steward of our resources. The position will be onsite and require the employee to work at either the Leawood, Kansas or Denver, Colorado office. How you’ll make an impact • Develop and successfully implement an effective information systems technology infrastructure, operations and knowledge decision support strategy that aligns with corporate goals and objectives. Ensure that technology needs adapt to organizational imperatives. • Interface and interact with internal stakeholders to reinforce consistency in vision. • Provide direction, development and inspiration to team members. • Interface with Services leadership team to assist with creating continued maturity of our existing offerings and discussing innovation of new offerings. • Accountable for advising the Senior Leadership Team in areas of advanced technology, information management, and corporate security so that technology acquisition, implementation and maintenance is included in tactical and long-range planning. • Responsible for effective technology planning so that security and service delivery of IT systems meets organizational goals and external compliance needs. Identify and secure resources to support all IT delivery. • Develop an information systems structure that adapts to the needs of the organization while maximizing standard, best practices and future trends. • Effectively collaborate with key stakeholders in the organization to ensure that technology planning and delivery meet organization goals. • Serve on a variety of internal and external committees to both plan for the evolution of technology • Lead as a Champion and foster team/leader effectiveness. • Establish a clear strategy, goals, vision for IT Organization that aligns with the overall company strategy. • Strategic partner to collaborate with IT leaders and Stakeholders on identifying capacity or demand management to prioritize by importance. • Implement and lead Quarterly Business Review “QBR” meeting with EO leaders to review projects and obtain buy-in and commitments. • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, healthcare or related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience of successful and progressively responsible IT leadership. At least five of which is a senior leadership level within the information technology industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrated successful experience in attracting, developing and retaining talented team of IT professionals with experience managing a large and diverse group.
  • Experience in an information security environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on team building and formation.
  • Demonstrated competence in operational, financial and business planning, analysis and management.
  • Understanding of strategic planning processes and methodologies.
  • Collaborative and service oriented leadership, with a clear understanding of clinical and operational priorities and strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Skilled negotiator who is ability to motivate, persuade and build consensus.
  • Ability to develop and cultivate a dynamic, progress and technologically advanced organization.
  • Demonstrated visionary leader with sound technology grounding, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Informatics or Health Administration preferred.
