About The Position

The Chief Information Officer’s (CIO) role is to provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology strategy and initiatives. The CIO directs the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems in support of business operations to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and business development. This individual is responsible for all aspects of the organization’s information technology and systems. (S)he will serve as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team to ensure enabling technology serves as a source of strategic differentiation in the planning and execution of the corporate and individual lines of business strategies. Given the importance of innovation and emerging technologies, this person will need to possess not only depth of technical expertise, but also key behavioral attributes to influence outcomes, collaborate across the enterprise, and drive results in a consistent and progressive manner. Additionally, the CIO will foster a culture of collaboration and accountability, while building trust and strengthening engagement across the organization.

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience leading IT organizations.

  • Proven experience in strategic IT planning, including leading enterprise transformations and successful implementation of critical systems and infrastructure (e.g. ERP, CRM, Data, Cyber, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in the Construction or related industries is preferred.
  • Masters degree in information systems, computer science, engineering or related fields preferred

Responsibilities

  • Set and execute a cohesive technology strategy that is aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Play an active leadership role on the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to company-wide direction while ensuring technology initiatives are aligned with enterprise priorities and deliver measurable impact.
  • Develop and lead a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy to protect critical systems, data, and operations—ensuring compliance, resilience, and risk mitigation across a complex manufacturing and supply chain environment.
  • Regularly report cybersecurity status, risks, and mitigation plans to the executive team and Board.
  • Create a data and analytics roadmap, allowing for a more comprehensive data experience.
  • Enhance current data platform, allowing for real-time data and analytics capabilities.
  • In addition, setting a master data management and data governance policy and procedures.
  • Leverage advanced technologies (e.g. AI/ML) and automation to drive operational excellence and a competitive advantage.
  • Ensure that adequate process and change management controls exist within the development and implementation life cycle.
  • Drive adoption processes and ensure employees are equipped, engaged, and aligned with new technology introductions.
  • Partner with the Senior Leadership Team, and Board to develop strategies and technology that support the company's growth agenda.
  • Translate strategic priorities into clear, actionable goals by building and executing a Technology Roadmap that drives business outcomes and enables long-term growth.
  • Lead the execution of a forward-looking and scalable technology architecture, providing clarity and discipline in delivering against a multi-year roadmap with milestones that support business transformation.
  • Build and lead a high-performing Technology team, ensuring the right talent, structure, and development practices are in place to achieve ambitious outcomes with urgency and accountability.
  • Approve, prioritize, and control projects and the project portfolio thereby ensuring that projects are delivered on time, on target and on budget.
  • Develop and maintain an appropriate technology organizational structure, which includes a balance of external and internal resources that support the needs of the business.
  • Optimize costs of technology services through mix of internal resources, professional services, and staff augmentation.
  • Develop and manage Technology's annual operating and capital budgets.
