About The Position

This role is responsible for regulatory capital reporting and analysis for Synchrony Financial (SYF) and its subsidiaries. It involves close interaction with various departments to interpret and report regulatory capital figures, as well as providing detailed analysis on the results. The position also includes assisting with the development and monitoring of capital plans and strategies, and performing capital monitoring and analytics to understand the impacts on the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (8+ years relevant experience in Financial environment).
  • Strong knowledge of Regulatory reporting and related requirements.
  • Familiarity with Regulatory Capital rules and stress testing.
  • Analytical mindset with curiosity for knowledge in Regulatory Capital, Basel rules, Balance Sheet and Liquidity Management.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook.
  • Proven ability to synthesize broad information into targeted deliverables.
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation skills and sense of control and governance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute overall end-to-end production and analysis of FR Y-14M and FR Y-14A reports.
  • Own Stressed Operational risk loss forecasting including scenario analysis.
  • Manage the Stress Test Strategic Initiatives forecast and impacts analysis.
  • Prepare and maintain Capital needs reports and support the RWA calculator.
  • Coordinate and maintain all internal capital monitoring and reporting.
  • Conduct in-depth capital comparison analysis on actual performance results.
  • Oversee the workflow process associated with capital actions execution.
  • Support implementation of strategies for successful CCAR/DFAST results.
  • Build effective controls and automation across the reporting process.
  • Perform Regulatory Capital related analyses and ad hoc management requests.
