About The Position

The Vice President, Business Development will play a pivotal role in supporting DoubleVerify’s (DV) growth by leading and executing strategic partnerships within the adtech industry. The Vice President, Business Development will be primarily responsible for the expansion of DV’s performance solutions across DSPs, Social Platforms and Streaming Video providers. DV has built a suite of performance-focused solutions organically, with DV Authentic Attention®, and through acquisition (Scibids, Rockerbox) and this candidate will be tasked with ensuring these solutions have broad and scalable coverage across the adtech ecosystem. Beyond this, Vice President, Business Development will be tasked with cultivating and managing other strategic partnerships, including those with data services, platforms and publishers, and will be responsible for negotiating and executing all requisite agreements in concert with DV stakeholders in Product and Commercial to facilitate service expansion and revenue growth. DV’s Business Development team is a core business unit dedicated to driving unique, value-added partnerships within the adtech community and to ensuring consistent coverage of DV services across all environments. The Vice President, Business Development will serve as a senior leader on the team helping shape the future growth of DV.

Requirements

  • Over 10 years of demonstrated excellence in business development or partnership roles
  • Demonstrated ability to establish trusted relationships, navigate a large partner organization, and drive strategic deals to a close under a tight timeline
  • Profound understanding of advertising technology, with specific preference for knowledge of verification, media mix modeling, and outcome measurement solutions
  • Proven track record of identifying, securing, and managing revenue-generating partnerships
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Experience, familiarity and comfort partnering with product teams to jointly drive efforts forward
  • Strategic mindset with the capacity to translate market insights into actionable strategies
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution (MBA preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute business development strategy and roadmap for DV’s performance solutions, working in collaboration with business leaders and stakeholders across the DV organization
  • Effectively identify, secure, and manage partnerships with key stakeholders across the ecosystem as required by the business, including with platforms, publishers, and vendors
  • Identify and develop new revenue-generating opportunities, building the business case and advocating with senior leadership
  • Proactively build and maintain senior-level relationships in Business Development, Product and Executive teams of partner companies
  • Adjust prioritization of workload to manage dynamic needs of the business, including ongoing collaboration with DV Product and Commercial leadership
  • Represent DV’s value propositions, best practices, and viewpoints with industry associations, events, and amplify through industry speaking opportunities

  • The estimated salary range for this role based on the qualifications set forth in the job description is between $197,000 to $340,000
  • This role will also be eligible for bonus/commission (as applicable), equity, and benefits
