BSNB is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Commercial Banking Team as a VP, Business Banking Team Lead. This individual will manage an experienced team of Business Development Officers, while growing their own book of business in the capital district. Local decision making is a huge benefit in this role! A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE VP, BUSINESS BANKING TEAM LEAD The VP, Business Banking Team Lead will be responsible for managing a team of Business Banking Officers to develop relationships with qualified prospects and identify opportunities to convert them to customers, with a focus on commercial and industrial business banking customers. This position will also develop creative ways to cultivate new business from existing customers. The Team Lead will generate, retain, and expand lending, investment and deposit relationships with new and existing customers through referrals, centers of influence and direct prospecting. This position may be assigned larger, more complex client relationships.

Requirements

  • Ten years' experience in a business development position in the financial services industry, with a 4-year degree in Business, Finance or related field.
  • track record of prospecting new business and enhancing existing relationships in the capital district area.
  • strong negotiating, sales and relationship building skills.
  • Well-developed communication skills are a must.
  • Prior supervisory experience leading a sales team a must.
  • Demonstrated PC skills and membership in civic and professional organizations required.
