About The Position

The Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Officer at MainStreet Bank is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and administration of the BSA Compliance Program and Fraud Management Program. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, including the BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws, while leveraging technology to enhance compliance processes and risk management strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, information technology, or law.
• 3-5 years of experience in BSA/AML compliance with a focus on technology implementation.
• Experience in the fintech industry is preferred.
• Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification is a plus.
• In-depth understanding of BSA/AML regulations and OFAC sanctions.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on experience with transaction monitoring systems and KYC/CDD solutions.
• Knowledge of data analytics techniques and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with SQL or other data query languages.

Responsibilities

• Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new technologies for the BSA/AML program.
• Collaborate with IT and data security teams for seamless integration of BSA technologies.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments using technology solutions.
• Develop and implement risk-based mitigation strategies for potential money laundering and terrorist financing risks.
• Maintain and enhance the BSA/AML compliance program to meet federal and state regulations.
• Oversee monitoring of customer transactions to identify and report suspicious activity.
• Conduct investigations of suspicious activity using technology for data analysis.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and financial institutions as needed.
• Develop and deliver BSA/AML training programs for employees.
